Research process

Researching for the right materials is hard. I feel that I have information that is needed in the project, but too general for my topic or is repeating over other materials I have founded already. The time for the project is approaching and I still think I have a lot more work ahead of me. It does not help that I have many different assignments in other classes, but I am trying to work on my time management of doing the work for the IM 204 class. I have failed to remember to keep a posting on my blog along with doing two other assignments that slipped my mind. I feel that the information I have obtain is not very beneficial to me and that I still need to keep researching for other materials.
However, some of the materials I have obtain can really help me in my research. Some of the information raise the questions on why some of the organization are stereotyping or segregating some people from joining the greek communities? Or is this happening in other greek organization of multicultural to only accept people that are minorities? Or does the way greek organization prevent certain people from joining or bring certain people to join the organization? These question I still need to find answers of facts that will help me understand it more.

  1. Hi Brenda,

Sometimes research is neverending! I guarantee that you will find the resources you need, though, with a little imagination...

For example: if it is difficult finding information about recruitment of minorities into fraternities or sororities, what about recruitment of minorities into any type of organization? Do you think that some of the strategies that people use to recruit minorities into other organizations would be helpful to use when recruiting people into fraternities or sororities?

Think about it and let me know.
